Our Insights:

See our insights (based on our own experience after purchasing and using the product, or based on some research work) on Kirkland Signature Kirkland Aller-Flo Fluticasone Propionate, these might be useful for better understanding.

We don’t know what we were thinking paying for the brand name version of this previously. The kirkland aller-flo bottle design is so much better than flonase. With the flonase bottle, we would often get what felt like weak pumps of the bottle, so we were never sure if we got a dose or not, so often we would waste another pump. The aller-flo never has the weak pump issue. Each has been consistent and we can tell we received a dose. Formula-wise, these seem to be exactly the same as flonase. It works fast, and it’s effective.

We are fortunate to have excellent health insurance; one of the benefits is that it pays for certain drugs that are over-the-counter such as prilosec, zyrtec, flonase, etc. With zero co-pay, as long as the doctor writes an rx for it. It has been way too long since we have seen our doc, so we have no refills of our otc meds, which led us to buy this to hold us over til we get our lazy self to the doctor. Our insurance company sends us generic flonase from a pharma company called gsms, which works ok, but for some reason, this kirkland brand is more effective. Not sure why – the active ingredient is the same and it has that same floral scent. Whatever the reason, we are using it only once a day compared to up to three times a day with the other brand, so we will be sticking with this brand even though we have to pay for it ourself. Everything about this brand is identical to flonase – dark glass bottle, same 50 mcg of the active ingredient, same explosion of floral fragrance. What s more is that it works just as well as buying the name brand without the price tag. And we don t need a costco membership to get it.

1/16/18 – reordered – good product. This product is a dead ringer for the brand name, nasacort. The only difference we see is that nasacort is supplied in a 100% plastic bottle and the kirtland product comes in a flint glass bottom dispenser with a plastic actuator. We have worked in the rx biz since the 1970’s and we recall the launch of the nasal steroids in the 1980’s that began with products like beconase, vancenase and the now defunct nasalide. Nasacort has a better base formulation than older products like nasalide which contained pharmaceutical grade polyethylene glycol (a relative of modern day antifreeze). Nasacort is a good product and has demonstrated efficacy for allergic rhinitis but it’s expensive at $18-$25 per nasal inhaler depending on the seller. The kirtland product is very sensibly priced in this 5 dispensers for $34 package and is essentially the same product as nasacort right down to the scent. We would not be surprised if the products were made by the same company and simply put in different packages.

This stuff works great. We use it every night before we go to bed and can breathe good all night long, enabling us to sleep better. Since we started using this product, we no longer take our zyrtec (generic). Actually, we breathe better all day long and don’t have those sinus drips and sniffles any more. We would recommend. Great price, too.

This is generic flonase at way, way cheaper price. Works just as well, is indeed the same formulation as regular flonase at a fraction of the cost. Kirkland is the costco brand name. Costco used to offer it online but we think is now restricting it to members only. But it’s a great savings over the vastly overpriced name brand flonase and most of the other generic brands of flonase as well.

Having a family of 5 that all suffer from nasal allergies we were so excited to find this product. When one just retails for $22 without a prescription that really adds up. This works the same as any other brand of flonase or generic equivalent we have ever purchased. As long as keeps selling we will keep buying.

We were seriously considering sinus surgery. We couldn’t sleep because we couldn’t breath. Tried multiple antihistamines with little results. Added decongestant and got worse. Our dr. Had suggested this stuff back when it was prescription only. It was too expensive and our problem was no as severe back then. We told a nurse that our medicare advantage plan sent for a home visit. She suggested this. She told us it would take a couple of days, but then we would be amazed. We were one of the lucky ones. It worked in hours. It’s been a couple of weeks now and the change is like day and night. Our sinuses feel huge. We don’t think we have ever breathed this well. We still take an antihistamine before bed, but we spray this in the afternoon and it’s amazing. We don’t get too stuffed up before it’s time for our dose, but enough that we still feel the difference a couple of hours after using this. We have more energy. We didn’t realize that we were tired all the time because we couldn’t breath, but it makes sense. We have more energy than we have had in years. We don’t think surgery could have helped more. When our head wasn’t completely stuffed up, we were breathing through pinholes. We can really breathe at last.

We took prescription fluticasone for a number of years. When we switched health plans a while back it became very expensive and we decided to try the generic version and was happy to find it produced by kirkland and available here on . Straight-up this works just as well as the prescription version does, even the same concentration, at a fraction of the price. Like the old saying goes: why pay more?.

This might be our favorite product we have ever bought on . We are allergic to dust, cats, dogs, grass, etc. And have always had really bad allergies. This has caused sinus issues and almost every morning we wake up with a stuffy nose. We thought we had tried almost everything and was ready to explore allergy shots but found this product online. We decided to give it a shot and noticed a difference within days. We can now wake up with clear nasal passages and don t have to worry about going over to houses with pets. Love this product, and the value is unbelievable.

We were shopping for replacement flonase and came across this costco brand. It appeared to have the same ingredients so we didn’t mind giving it a try (and paying less). We don’t know if it’s the formula so much as the actuator (is that the right word?) but the kirkland “sprayer” delivers the product in a way that works better for us than the flonase. Better coverage/cleanse. At first it smells like you have a bouquet of flowers up your nose but it quickly goes away. We highly recommend this product.

Very good package, very good low price, its bottle is same as cvs brand, rite aide,if we had it 30 years ago, we would be a rocket scientist by now. Allergies had tortured our life badly all those years, until we used flonase; it changes every thing .

This is the best value we have found for fluticasone proprionate. It s roughly 3¢ per spray, vs. 33¢/spray at normal retail price. We may be a few cents off since we have not bought this stuff at retail prices in years and only vaguely remember paying over $40 for a single bottle with 120 sprays at walgreens or cvs, but those numbers at least are close enough to show the huge discrepancy between retail and actual price of this stuff. Kirkland is giving us what we need at an affordable price while presumably making a profit, so this five-bottle bundle is good for everyone involved. The flavor is medicinal, as always, but there are some pretty bad tasting generic brands out there. This tastes like the original flo-nase.

Before you needed a prescription to purchase fluticasone (flonase) now you can buy it otc. Granted you can buy name brand and pay name brand prices, or you can buy generic and pay a lot less, well here you can get 5 bottles for the price of one bottle of name brand at the store. Now we have a bottle in our camper, one in our overnight bag, and where ever else we need one.

This works very well. Our son suffers from allergies year round because we live in fl. Our pediatrician recommended this for him because he was suffering really bad with sneezing every morning. Since we have started using (2 x a day) he hasn’t sneezed yet. Works really really good. Just have to be consistent with it.

This is such a good value for your money, 5 bottles for about the price of 1. Spray just as fine as the prescription ones or over the counter ones we used in the past. Not supposed to be flavored so we didn’t give that area any stars. But it has the normal futicasone/flonase taste when it is in your throat. Will buy again. Works so well that we haven t been needing to use it daily. Pleased it s this purchase.

Excellent value. This is same as the name brand– for a fraction of the price. We suffer horribly from airborn allergens of all kinds–pollen, mold, grasses, pet dander etc. For decades we took allergy shots to control them. For the last few years we have relied instead on the name brand fluticonase nasal sprays and claritin and they do the trick. As much nasal spray as we go through, this is really a money saver and the quality is identical to the name brand product. We have no problem recommending this brand.

This stuff is great if you have allergies. We were using a cocktail of actifed (wal-act) and claritin d several times a day and our nasal passages started swelling shut if we didn’t take the tablets every four hours or so. It was a real drag. So we went and got some of this stuff and we barely need claritin now. We would definitely recommend this if you have problems with allergies.

This is a very cost effective product in place of the name brand product and also many store brand copies. The product works as well as the original product. If you have post nasal drip, it will run down the back of your throat and give you a little flowery flavor- which isn’t the worst. It definitely smells like flowers. We can, however, buy this whole package for what many stores sell one bottle of the original.

Our physician said allergy, sinus sufferers will put anything up their nose to find relief. In this product we finally found relief. It truly works (for us) after using several different allergy/steroid sprays.

We love this stuff, and we love having it so inexpensive we can keep it everywhere. Both our daughter and we use it daily, and one of us loses stuff, and the other is six. We have noticed zero difference from name brand or store brand. We have been using this since it was an expensive prescription only.
