See our insights (based on our own experience after purchasing and using the product, or based on some research work) on Wedderspoon Organic Manuka Honey Drops, these might be useful for better understanding.
We don’t know how anyone could possibly give this a negative review unless they just don’t like the taste of ginger and honey. These are the only cough drops in all of existence that work for a sore throat and cough. Yeah they’re “expensive” compared to drugstore cough drops, which are basically high fructose corn syrup. (and people wonder why halls &etc don’t work) but we wouldn’t think twice about paying $8 to make it tolerable to go to work with a head cold. You do stop coughing for the length of time this thing is in your mouth.
After being sick a few months ago we found these in a local cvs. We like holistic medicine and this has turmeric and manuka honey. We loved the product. It was very expensive. We decided to look on and was very happy to find it here. We had bronchitius and this helped soothe the throat and cough and allowed that little tickle after the cold that remained. This helped us be able to go to work without coughing every minute. The turmeric made us feel the little bit of heat while the honey soothed the throat. Loved this will have some in our medicine cabinet at all times.
Manuka honey has saved us from acid reflux and stabilizes the blood sugar we have been on a manuka kick for a handful of years now. These drops are convenient compared to grabbing a spoon and grabbing some manuka from the jar . Take them with you on the go.
We had a cough and absolutely hate menthol. We had hoped these drops would help, and we love ginger and honey so that was a bonus. Unfortunately, they did not help at all with the cough, however, they don’t say cough drops on the package, so we can’t hold that against them. They are so tasty as a hard candy, it’s quite hard to stop eating them. They do have a soft honey coating on the hard candy that can get quite sticky if you chew before it has dissolved, so keep that in mind if you don’t like stuff stuck in your teeth. Best tasting hard candy we have had in awhile, but we won’t be buying them to help with a cough again.
These lozenges are absolutely by far the best. We occasionally get nauseated and car sick and these take care of it pretty fast. Better than any over the counter or prescription medication. We have also tried other lozenges but these are by far the best.
Soothing throat lozenges made with organic natural products. The only “issue” is that we found them very “sweet” (as if sugar might have been added). Wedderspoon is a good brand you can count on and known for their manuka honey products.
Manuka and ginger combine for a great taste explosion. Have used it several times when we feel we are on the brink of illness. This and usually elderberry with some tea, we are golden again. Manuka honey had excellent healing properties. And anyone we have shared it with loved the taste.
We received our wedderspoon organic manuka honey drops, fennel + cinnamon as promised. When we opened the box, we found a total of 22 candies inside 2 more than promised on the packaging. We found the candy to be enjoyable. The taste reminds us of root beer barrels and root beer but much more mild. We can taste all flavors listed, but the taste of the fennel is the dominant flavor. We wouldn t say they are overpoweringly licorice-like though more mild, just like fresh fennel or fennel seed. Even though they bill as “candy,” our primary intention was to use them as a throat lozenge for when we are sick because we haven t been able to find anything otc that doesn t make us sick. They do have a very small amount of spice but not anywhere near enough to soothe a sore throat. No matter because sometimes we wish we could have a piece of hard candy (our secondary intention) and it s hard to find anything on the market that doesn t make us sick. We are happy to report that we did not experience any negative symptoms from these candies, which is what we were aiming for. Very happy to have discovered these and to have something to recommend to others in our community who have dietary restrictions related to artificial colors, flavors, preservatives, sweeteners or unnecessary bulking agents and “natural flavors. At $10. 99, however, we feel they are way overpriced so we will not be purchasing these again.
These taste great. We have been using them whenever we feel an itch in our throat. The flavor is nice, ginger isn’t too strong. Our only issue is that the drop is a little large and squared so it kind of rubs up against the roof of our mouth. But not a big deal.
This product is pretty good. For us it did not work as well as our friends use it so based off that we do write it high. What works for one does not work for all. The taste is average some people may not like it we will try it again when we sing in the chapel as lead cuz that’s very hard for us and everything has to be up to par right now we are using vokalis so we want to try these and see what happens otherwise we have heard different reviews from people here not on . We have to read in high at this time and we will wait a month and review again but all in all if you can deal with the taste some people like it some don’t. But sometimes medicine goes down and tastes terrible but we will review again after we sing as lead in a small group in chapel we are not a professional figure but at our age we need everything we can get to keep our vocal cord good because we work around 5290 men that are homeless and we are subject to various cold and viruses.
We don’t quite believe all the hype about manuka honey, but we can’t argue the fact that the stuff does work, and that these lozenges have helped us significantly through many throat ailments over the past couple of years. We think these have even helped stop a few colds in their tracks, in addition to them giving immediate relief. We have tried every lozenge we have come across, and these help relieve many symptoms ranging from laryngitis to post-nasal drip. The warming quality of ginger, and the immune boost of echinacea makes this our go-to when we feel a sore throat or cold coming on.
We really like the ginger and honey flavor. The fennel and cinnamon though- is very gross. We would suggest avoiding it. We liked the one flavor, so decided to branch out and try the other- a big mistake. It doesn’t have the same taste or the gingery kick that we like. Oh well. Buy the ginger honey flavor. Not only does it help us with the throat issues we have, but it soothes our acid reflux a smidge. Nice.
A little disappointed to see the first item on the ingredient list is cane sugar but we suppose a least it s organic. These drops taste pretty good, sweet honey flavor with a touch of ginger. Could say it s almost like candy that s a little bit spicy. If you like the taste of wedderspoon s makuna honey out of the jar, you probably would like the taste of these drops.
We have ordered so many boxes of wedderspoon products . We love them, but wish they could be ordered in larger quantities without them wanting them delivered monthly. We use a box or two a week. It seems we are penalized for this. We would like to be able to order in larger quantities,. We love this one because it has ginger in it and if you have an upset stomach it helps. It also has echinacea in it which helps the immune system. Would love to order larer quantities or either more often. We do not like the way it is set up.
These are expensive- but that s understandable given the ingredients. The taste can take some getting used to especially if you re used to eating regular cough drops. Overall we do think these are better option for those looking to be cleaner in the products they eat/use/buy and we will be keeping these stocked in our medicine box from now on.
Our relative and we have never been big into these manila honeys in the past until we read more about them. After using this once a day consistently for a few months we have definitely seen an improvement with our allergies and post nasal drip. We usually use a wooden spoon (supposedly metal spoon can affect the nutrients in the honey) to take about one tablespoon a day with lukewarm water. The honey itself does not have a bad taste, though some people may agree it tastes a lot different than normal honey. If you haven t tried it yet, we would recommend it as it has worked well for us.
We ordered these drops when we got the flu and they are the best. We chose the ginger w/echinacea and the flavor is amazing but putting that aside, they genuinely helped us to feel better. They are very soothing to your throat. We received them yesterday and immediately ordered another box. They are that good.
We know manuka honey is one of the best honey,s for our health. Wedderspoon manuka honey drops with ginger with echinacea we buy on a regular basis. It s new zealand licensed product printed on box. We have been to new zealand and manuka honey is expensive. Do your own research. These are the most affordable. Listed with 8g of sugar per 2 honey drops. We are prone to nasal drip and coughing at night. These help a lot.
We are the type that has to be either chewing on gum or sucking on a piece of candy. Needless to say, this habit can be destructive on your teeth depending on the ingredients you choose. But these manuka honey drops are full of beneficial ingredients that work to improve your body and they taste amazing. They taste like caramel drops. The only thing is that we wish they were a little bit less pricey, but its worth it. We have even seen some “add on” options that were almost half the price, as long as you spent a certain amount on other things.
These are wonderful for sore throat, really like the flavor and they last longer than we expected so we get better relief than any other throat lozenge we have tried over the years. We have allergies and get dry and sore throat all throughout the year, plus am prone to strep (every august plus usually around the holidays, ugh) and these are now the only lozenge we use. Plus the price on is about 6 bucks cheaper than any stores in our area so added them to the subscribe and save so we always have enough on hand.
